Audition for Take Note!

Currently, we're not seeking any new members, but we thought we'd tell you about our audition process in case that ever changes.

Our relaxed auditions are held by appointment at our usual rehearsal location in Washington, D.C., until positions are filled. Strong candidates are invited to call-backs, which take place shortly after auditions. Auditions may be held throughout the year if circumstances warrant.

Auditionees are asked to prepare a short solo demonstrating range and style. The audition may include scales, dynamic, and interval exercises. New group members are selected by consensus of current members attending the auditions.

Please note that new members of Take Note! are asked to make a commitment to two full years of rehearsals and performances with the group.
